Portland Trainer | Kisar Dhillon | How to stay motivated & avoid fitness injuries

It is January and a lot of individual are starting to exercise again after attempting their last year's resolutions that may have came to a quick stop because of injury in 2011. We do not want that to happen so here are some quick tips that you can use to make sure you accomplish those goals and stay motivated.1. Break your goals up into manageable chunks2. Don't overdo it the first week starting your program3. Give yourself two weeks to come up with a routine4. If you need motivation to go to the gym, find a workout buddy or hire a personal trainer.5.  Always do a small warm-up to tell your body it will be doing some exercise, versus just going all in when you get to the gym.6. Take a small snack in case you need some extra calories. You do not want to get sluggish because it is too early and you are exercising after work.7. Plan your workouts ahead of time so you know how much energy will be required from your body and you can plan your meals accordingly.I hope this helps...Thank You,Kisar S.
