Portland Personal Trainer Kisar | How much Protein To Eat?

Protein quantity is a question that a lot of clients and fitness enthusiasts are always asking: so how much should you ingest? According to the Egg Nutrition Center ,you should consume 25-30 grams of good quality protein in your diet (Rasmussen, Jones, et al., 2009). Also, after you workout, you should consume either a protein that can easily be digested or a whey protein shake that you like. Sometimes you can have a post recovery drink that will give you a 4:1 ratio, but some individuals will drink that during their workout out or afterwards. Figure out what works for you! When I was doing Mt. Whitney, I was sipping on a 4:1 ratio recovery drink because I was burning so many calories, that my muscles were working on overtime for a long time, but I also needed to resupply my carbohydrates.
