There are a lot of gimmicks out there to lose weight, but in most cases, individuals will gain the weight back or even more. If you want to enjoy your food the first step is to cut down on your portions. If you can master that obstacle, them you can really dive into taking your food intake to the next level, eating clean. Eating clean is a term used in the fitness industry meaning, eating to achieve results that you ultimately want. This is when you will look at the types of carbohydrates, proteins and fats you are ingesting and then modifying them to achieve the type of goal you are trying to achieve. Cutting down all of your carbohydrates and just eating protein and fat is not a wise choice if you are going to be super active. Carbohydrates fuel your body, especially with endurance sporting events. Remember, calories in calories out. Figure out the correct proportion of carbohydrates, protein and fat you need to intake according to how many calories you need. Food programs such as the HCG diet require you to only eat 500 calories per day and you are not supposed to exercise, this is not an ideal food program. You need to exercise for your body, health systems, your mind and to help with metabolic responses, such as weight loss.
