Portland Fitness | Strengthen the Ab's & Buttock's muscles

If you are having lower back problems, then you need to address what is tight and what is weak. The basic rule when addressing basic lower back issues is the hip flexors and lower back are usually pretty tight from sitting. The muscles that are extremely weak are the abdominal and gluteaul muscles. Since everyone is not going to take the time to stretch during the day, or get up out of your chair every hour so your muscles are not in a flexed sitting position for hours on end. My advice is to hold or suck your stomach in as much as you can, or when you can remind yourself. You are at least activating the abdominal and core muscles to aid in reducing pressure on that lower back. In an ideal world, it would be great if you could stretch your hip flexors and lower back, and then strengthen your abs and gluteaul muscles. The Green Microgym is going to be having an an advanced ab class for its Sellwood members on Thursday's at 545pm and I will be teaching the class. If you want to learn to get a tighter mid section and just ask me and will tell you exactly what you need to do.Thanks,Kisar Dhillon
