Portland Fitness: Get a Better Workout, Reduce your Rest Times between Sets

If you are looking at a way to get a more intense workout and make that lactic acid burn increase in those muscles, then I suggest that you reduce your rest times so your muscles have limited time to recover from the last exercise. You are probably asking, why would I do that? Well, if you are looking at increasing some of your muscle mass or need to break through that plateau, then adding this minor tweak to your routine will do the trick. If you do not want to train like this all the time, this could be a great way to supplement your workout or maybe do it every other week to keep your body guessing.
