Getting Fitness Results | It Is All About Consistency

When it comes to getting results with a fitness program,it is all about being consistent with your training, eating, cardiorespiratory exercise and recovery. There is a myth that always comes up about working out everyday will get to your goal quicker. In some cases that will work, but you also need time for your body to recovery. You can still eat pretty healthy most days of the week, but when it comes to exercising at a good intensity, you also need to let your body recover. The rule of thumb I like to tell my clients is that you grow when you are outside of the gym. Meaning, we will do the work in the gym, but you grow, get results, lose weight, lose inches not in the personal training studio, but when you are sleeping, hanging out with friends and just letting your body recover. That is why you should have at least one day off per week to let your body rest. I know there may be some pressures set on you to get to a specific goal by a certain date, especially for photo shoots, or if you are casting for a part in a movie, show or commercial. But for most of the general public, they will need a at least one day of rest to let their bodies recover, get re-energized and ready to go for the next workout with their personal trainer. The Art of Personal Training by Kisar Dhillon107 SE Washington Street, Suite 137Portland, Oregon 97214(503) 953-0241
