Fitness and Exercise with a Medicine Ball

If you want to spice up your fitness workouts, then start incorporating medicine balls into your routines. To get the correct form and bio-mechanics start out by doing the movements in a smooth motion, but remember to always use correct technique. Everything that you can do with free weights, you can do with a medicine ball. For example, if you want to exercise your pectoral muscles, then you can do a chest press into a pullover, and then into an ab crunch. This specific exercise can be done either on a weight bench or on the floor. In addition, you can do a lot of combo exercises like bringing the ball down to the ground into a squat, then bringing it back up into a biceps curl, and then into a  shoulder press.  If you are working out with a partner or personal trainer, then doing rotational throws or different types of tosses can be an excellent exercise to add creativity to any fitness routine. The rule of thumb is to always do a warm-up move first and then you can progressively add extra resistance or weight to the exercise. Thanks,Kisar DhillonPersonal TrainerThe Art of Personal Training by Kisar Dhillon107 SE Washington Street, Suite 137Portland, Oregon 97214(503) 953-0241
