Portland Personal Trainer | Are All Whole Grains Healthy?
Just because something says it is healthy or whole grain, does not necessarily mean it is the best thing for our bodies. It seems though that the eating and food trends seem to come in waves, especially when you look at the decades and the fads. In the early 1990's it was all about low fat, in the first decade of the 2000's it was all about low carbohydrate and the Atkins diet, and now it is all about Gluten free. I feel it is really weird when I see some individuals who say they have a wheat allergy, but they are are chowing down on everything else. The best is when they just inhale a meal and they just loved it, but then you tell them it had wheat or certain grain in it and they start to freak out, and create their own allergy on the spot.
